- Kamar mandi sebaiknya berukuran kecil dan tertutup pintunya setiap waktu. Pintu kamar mandi tidak menghadap langsung pintu lainnya, juga tangga, tempat tidur dan meja makan. Kamar mandi tidak terletak di barat laut dan tenggara dari suatu rumah.

- Jika rumah memiliki beberapa tingkat, area ruang makan seharusnya berada di tingkat paling tinggi dari ruang tamu, sedangkan area kamar tidur berada pada tingkat lebih tinggi.

- Rumah bertingkat boleh saja, namun bila membagi rumah tidak seimbang akan menyebabkan banyak kehilangan uang. Lain halnya dengan lantai bertingkat yang dipisah dengan lantai mezanin. Dari sisi perspektif feng shui, lantai mezanin dianggap tidak menguntungkan. Lantai jenis ini dianjurkan untuk ruangan yang tidak berfondasi.

- Jangan sampai ada koridor panjang di dalam rumah karena akan membentuk panah beracun. Hal ini akan memunculkan perselisihan dan salah pengertian di dalam rumah.

- Semua struktur menonjol dan palang sebaiknya rata dengan dinding rumah. Palang menonjol dan sudut akan menciptakan shar chi yang sangat kuat.

Masalah yang timbul Akibat Kebiasaan Buruk Anak - Jangan pandang sepele karena ia masih kecil dengan kebiasaan-kebiasaannya ya Moms. Karena bisa jadi ia akan terbiasa untuk menghindar dari masalahan dan cenderung melakukan kebiasaannya tersebut untuk membuatnya nyaman dan aman dari masalah yang ada di hadapannya.

Perhatikan juga higienitas jari yang masuk ke dalam mulut melalui jari dan kukunya serta hidung. Selain bisa terjadi infeksi ibu jari, masalah gigi (overbite) atau malocclusion (kegagalan gigi di rahang atas dan bawah untuk bertemu dengan benar) atau cacingan. Jari di dalam hidung juga bisa membuat hidung iritasi.

Jari-jari memutar bak helikopter bisa menjadi gangguan jika sudah melewati batas ia menarik dan mencambut rambutnya hingga tipis lalu botak. Si kecil yang suka menarik rambut mungkin memiliki trikotilomania, yaitu kondisi yang mengakibatkan hilangnya rambut. 

Kebiasaan buruk ini bisa memengaruhi hubungan sosial anak atau mengganggu fungsi sehari-hari, seperti diejek teman main atau teman sekolahnya.

Dari sejumlah penyebab di atas, ada baiknya Moms mencari tahu lebih lanjut apa yang sedang dialami oleh si kecil. Memang tak semua kebiasaan bisa disamaratakan, misalnya mengisap jempol.

Kebiasaan ini konon sudah dilakukan oleh janin sejak dalam kandungan dan menimbulkan rasa nyaman dan aman. Namun saat anak beranjak besar dan berada dalam situasi cemas lalu ia melakukannya untuk mengatasi beragam rasa cemasnya, maka hal ini menjadi hal yang tidak baik.

Sebaiknya Moms cari tahu apa penyebab si kecil melakukannya. Setelah mengetahuinya maka Moms bisa mengatasi kecemasannya. Mungkin saja ia cemas atau merasa stres karena baru pindah sekolah atau rumah, atau ia merasa belum punya seorang teman dekat yang bisa menjadi teman mainnya dan sebagainya.

Jangan lupa Moms! Meski kebiasaan ini bisa dipandang sebagai sesuatu yang “tidak mengenakkan orangtua” di mata banyak orang, sebaiknya Moms tidak serta-merta menghakiminya. Membentak, menyuruhnya berhenti dengan intonasi tinggi atau berteriak justru tidak menyelesaikan masalah dasarnya.

Perlu diketahui, keempat perilaku (gigit kuku, isap jempol, putar-putar rambut atau memasukkan jari ke hidung) bisa dikategorikan habit disorder atau gangguan kebiasaan. Mengapa? Karena individu yang bersangkutan tidak bisa mengatasi kecemasan dengan cara yang sesuai, dan jika dilakukan bisa menimbulkan luka.

Mengigit kuku, isap jempol, putar-putar rambut atau memasukkan jari ke hidung dapat disebut sebagai gangguan jika anak melakukannya dengan intensitas, frekuensi, tak kenal waktu dan tempat (dilakukan di mana saja. Baik itu di rumah, di sekolah maupun tak mengenal tempat atau melukai dirinya sendiri).

Jika tidak diatasi dapat saja berlanjut hingga ia besar dan jika ia masih melakukannya saat ia sudah besar, manifestasi hal ini bisa menjadi hal yang lainnya lagi dan ia tidak mempunyai kemampuan untuk mengatasi situasi terutama yang membuatnya cemas atau stres.

Yang harus Ibu lakukan antara lain:

- Cari tahu penyebab mengapa ia suka melakukan gigit kuku, isap jempol, putar-putar rambut atau memasukkan jari ke hidung dengan menanyakan pada si kecil secara baik-baik apa alasannya.

- Atasi masalahnya dengan memberi masukan supaya melakukan hal lain jika perasaan-perasaan tidak nyaman sedang datang.

- Lakukan kegiatan lain yang lebih menyenangkan agar ia bisa melupakan aktivitas gigit kuku, isap jempol, putar-putar rambut dan memasukkan jari ke hidungnya seperti memainkan boneka jari, bernyanyi, menari dan sebagainya.

- Hilangkan kebiasaan tersebut secara perlahan-lahan dan bertahap. Pada awalnya Moms bisa membolehkannya mengisap jempol di rumah, lalu berkurang hanya pada waktu tidur saja dan berkurang lagi seterusnya.

- Tidak ada jangka waktu yang tetap pada setiap anak, jadi Moms juga harus bersabar dan tetap konsisten agar si kecil mampu menghilangkan kebiasaannya.

BIRMINGHAM - Four members of the reggae veterans UB40 are left, namely Brian Travers, Jimmy Brown, Terence Oswald, and Norman Hassan declared bankrupt by the Court of Birmingham.
